- Can we stand facing God in the temple?
No, we should not stand facing the god in the temple while praying. You should either stand towards left or right to the God. Look at the railings placed in an temple in the above image, which gives clear picture.
- Which side we should stand in the temple according to our gender?
If it is temple of Male deity, Men should stand towards right to the Lord and women should stand towards left to the lord. Because Goddess Lakshmi resides in the heart of the lord.
If it is female deity you can keep musical instruments towards left to the Goddess.
- How to keep Lord Lakshmi Narasimha and Lord anjaneya photo in home?
Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Photo and Lord anjaneya photo should be kept such that it should face the main entrance of the home. So that the lord destroys the negative thoughts of the people entering and daridra entering the home and does not leave the people to take away the lakshmi with them because lakshmi is sitting in the thigh of the Lord.
- Which direction we should face while taking bath?
We should face East (Kilakku in Tamil ; Purva in Kannada) while taking bath.
- Which mantra we should chant before taking bath?
We should chant "Gange cha Yamune chaiva Godavari Saraswathi, Narmada Sindhu Kaveri Jale asmin sannidhim kuru" before taking bath. The meaning of this mantra:
I pray you to enter,
This water meant for my bath,
Oh, holy river Ganga,
Oh, Holy river Yamuna,
Oh, Holy river Godavari,
Oh, Holy river Saraswathi,
Oh, Holy river Narmada,
Oh holy river Sindhu,
And holy river Kaveri.
