Graha Hora Timings or Subha Horai Timings

Each day starts at sunrise and ends at next day’s sunrise. This period is divided into 24 equal parts and they are called horas. A hora is almost equal to an hour. These horas are ruled by different planets. The lords of hora come in the order of decreasing speed with respect to earth: Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury and Moon. After Moon, we go back to Saturn and repeat the 7 planets.

The first hora of any day (i.e. a period of one hour following sunrise) is ruled by the lord of the weekday (Sun for Sunday, Moon for Monday, Mars for Tuesday, Mercury for Wednesday, Jupiter for Thursday, Venus for Friday and Saturn for Saturday). After that, we list planets in the order mentioned above.

For example, let us take 9:40 pm on a Wednesday on which sunrise was at 6:10 am.
The time elapsed since sunrise is 21:40 – 6:10 = 15:30. So the 16th hour since sunrise was running then. This is ruled by the 16th planet from Mercury. After subtracting multiples of 7 from 16, we get 2. So the hora (hour) is ruled by the 2nd planet from Mercury. From the list given above, we see that the 2nd planet from Mercury is Moon. So Moon’s hora runs at 9:40 pm.

The basic idea is simple. Each day is divided into hours, beginning at sunrise. If sunrise is at 7:13 AM, for example, the first hour of the day is from 7:13 - 8:13 AM. The Second hour is from 8:13 - 9:13 AM, etc. Each hour carries the energy of one of the planets. The order in which this occurs is as follows: The first planet for each day will be the ruler of the day. Sunday - Sun, Monday - Moon, Tuesday - Mars, Wednesday - Mercury, Thursday - Jupiter, Friday - Venus, Saturday - Saturn.

In calculating the planetary hours for Sunday, for example, first you look up the time of Sunrise in the newspaper. Then you designate the first hour to the Sun, the ruler of Sundays. The rest of the hours follow a set sequence - Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars.

In another example, if the day is Wednesday, then the first hour ruler is Mercury, the Second is the Moon and so on. When you reach the end of the sequence, start over with the Sun. In this way, it is simple to make a hora table for any day.

Once you have constructed the table of planetary hours, you can begin important activities during the hour of a planet which supports the particular type of activity you are planning.

Here is a general list of planets and the types of activities they represent:

Sun - career, health, sports, government, authority figures.

Moon - public relations, family, domestic, mother, personal needs, social life.

Mercury - communications, mental work, education, information, errands, clerical work, presentations, business.

Venus - romance, emotion, social life, family, sensory experience, the arts, entertainment.

Mars - physical activity, competition, sports, brothers.

Jupiter - financial, philosophical, religious, travel, education, children.

Generally, the hours of Saturn and Mars should be approached carefully. Saturn's hour can bring delays, obstacles and pressures, but may also be a great time for doing business. Mars sometimes brings arguments or harshness, but may also bring good ambitious energy.

The hours of Venus and Jupiter, on the other hand, are usually favorable for most activities. But it must be understood that each person will respond differently to a planetary hour based on the specific indications in their natal horoscope. Nevertheless, through experiment, it is possible to get a sense of your own particular response pattern. And this can become an interesting and even valuable way to approach each day astrologically!

Sun : Sun hora is dynamic energetic and powerful. Coronation, meeting with high officials, Health related works, Trade, spiritual matters, government works are suitable.

Moon : Moon hora is soft delicate and fluctuating. Sea, water, liquid related works, agriculture, gardening, travel, food related activities bring success.

Mars : Mars hora is sharp, aggressive and volatile avoid important activities during this period. Construction, electrical and mechanical engineering works, competition, sports, litigation, fire related activities are recommended.

Mercury : Mercury hora is quick and inconstant. Education, learning, communication, writing, agreement, trade, travel, discussion. related matters are suitable.

Jupiter : Jupiter hora is auspicious fruitful and increasing. Financial matters, travel, progeny, spiritual matters, and all important auspicious activity are recommended.

Venus : Venus hora is beneficial aesthetic and uniting. Love, romance, marriage, sex , recreational and enjoyable pursuits, music, art, dance related activities are recommended.

Saturn : Saturn Hora is inactive, slow and delaying; avoid activities which need speedy expedition. Laying Foundation, Entering new house/city, opening fixed deposit, usage oil, iron, and Steel. Activities are recommended.

Nandishwara Yantra by Brahmanda Guruji Shri Narendra Babu Sharmaji

Brahmanda Guruji gave us the information on how to draw Nandishwara Yantra in his Bruhat Brahmanda programme telecasted in Zee Kannada while speaking on Nandishwara vratha. We will start this with reciting "OM MAHA NANDISWARAYA NAMAHA".

• At the centre put Om in Sanskrit i.e ॐ.
  
  
• Towards left, right, top and bottom put Om in Kannada i.e ಓಂ.
  
  
• After putting these five Om's draw a circle around it.
  
  
• After drawing the circle put an square and draw swastika ( is an equilateral cross with its arms bent at right angles, in either right-facing (卐) form or its mirrored left-facing (卍) form ) in four corners between circle and the square.
  
  
• Now draw Trisula in four corners of the square.
  
  
• Put One Sanskrit Sri i.e श्री to all sides of the square.
  
  
• This completes Nandishwara Yantra. You should put this in rice flour only.
  श्री should be put in turmeric.
  ॐ should be put in Vermilion (Kumkuma).
  ಓಂ should be put in rice flour.
  Swastika should be put in Sandal powder (Chandana).
  
  
• If you have own house you can put this yantra on terrace or in hall or you put this on small wooden plank and keep it in pooja room.
  
  
• After this you have to take nine types of flowers except Chandi flower to keep it on Yantra.
  
  
• Dont forger to keep flower named Nandi Battalu is the Kannada name of Crape Jasmine. The other English common names are Pin Wheel flower, Crape Gardenia, Moonbeam, Carnation of India. In Tamil it is known as Nandiar vattai, Gujarati “Sagar” and Marathi “Ananta or Tagar”. Crape Jasmine’s botanical name is Tabernaemontana divaricata native to India belonging to Apocynaceae family.
  
  
• You have to keep these flowers in the evening before sunset or in pradosha kala and offer your prayers.
  
  
• You have to sit such that you are facing North while offering the prayer.
  
  
• Offer prayers by reciting Nandishwara or Shiva or Ganesha or Subramanya or Kali Ashtottara Shatanamavali.
  
  
• You can keep kamadhenu photo or small nandi idol and offer your prayers.
  
  
• Offer Akki-Kadalebele or Rice-Channadal Payasa as neivedyam. Keep this neivedya on terrace in Coconut Shell only.

Anjaneya Vratha Pooja or Hanuman Pooja

Anjaneya Vratha Pooja or Hanuman Pooja given by Brahmanda Guruji Shri Narendra Babu Sharmaji in his Bruhat Brahmanda programme telecasted in Zee Kannada TV Channel.

• Take Lord Hanuman's photo.
  
  
• Start keeping one dot of Gandha (sandal paste) ; kumkuma (vermilion) and Akshate (turmeric rice) from hip to tail of lord Hanuman
  
  
• On a single day, you should keep one dot only once.
  
  
• On the next day, keep it next to dot kept on previous day.
  
  
• If you start keeping small dots, to complete from hip to tail, the number of days will increase.
  
  
• If you start with bigger once, the number of days will decrease.
  
  
• Completing from hip to tail is not important, before that offer your prayers to Lord Anjaneya "ASADHYA SADHAKA SWAMIN, ASADYAM TAVA KIM VADHA!RAMADOOTA KRIPA SINDHOO, MAT KARYAM SADHYA PRABHOO".
  
  
• Offer your prayers daily with this mantra
  Manojavam maruta tulyavegam
  jitendriyam budhimaatam varishitam
  vaatmajam vanaraayutha mukhyam
  Sree rama dootham sirasa namami
  
  
• If your prayers are not answered even though you have completed from hip to tail, again start from hip to tail continue with covering the mountain which he is carrying, head and his whole body.
  
  
• When you start againg after completing from hip to tail, offer honey or one block of jaggery (achu bella in kannada) keeping it on betel leaf everyday. Evening offer it to monkey or cow.
  
  
• After completing all this procedure, you have do Pavamana Homa at home. During homa offer honey abhisheka to small idol of Lord Hanuman. While offer abhisheka you should perform pavamana homa.

Lord Ganesha Pooja Procedure Revealed By Guruji Shri Narendra Babu Sharmaji

On account of sankatahara chaturthi on 22-03-2011, Brahmanda Guruji Shri Narendra Babu Sharmaji revealed pooja procedure on Lord Ganapathi. Below is the step by step procedure put in points:

• To do this procedure get mat made of Darbha grass.
  
  
• This procedure should be done in the evening only. Before starting this procedure, you should have taken bath for three times i.e morning, afternoon and before pooja once.
  Dont take bath twice in a day.
  If not possible take bath only before pooja. (i.e once only)
  You should take bath once or thrice not twice.
  
  
• Women should wear Kacha Saree compulsorily for this pooja.
  
  
  
• It is good if female head of the family does this pooja.
  
  
• This pooja is done for wellness of whole family and for growth of family members.
  
  
• If this vrata is started, make an sankalpa that it will be followed for 21 Tuesdays or days or months without any break.
  
  
• If have brought any yantra from any kind of person throw it off or keep it outside the house so that you get siddhi from lord. If you have brought any yantra from any temples, let it be there.
  
  
• This procedure can be done in pooja room if you have space, if not you can do it in hall itself.
  
  
• Place the mat made of Darbha grass on the Mane/Flat Wooden Platform so that you can sit on it.
  If you are not able to get mat made of Darbha grass, just get few darbha grass and place it below the Mane/Flat wooden platform.
  
  
• Get pot full of water for abhisheka. Chant Ganesha's Moola Mantra "Om Srim Glaum Gam Ganapataye Namah" revealed by Brahmanda Guruji Shri Narendra Babu Sharmaji.
  
  
• You should offer 21 Bermuda Grass (Arugampul in Tamil ; Garike hullu in Kannada) one bunch multiplied by 21 Bunches tied with hasi dhara i.e each bunch should have 21 bermuda grases.
  
  
• You should offer 21 Milk Weed flower (Bili Yekka in Kannada ; Vellai Erukku in Tamil ; Arka in Sanskrit).
  
  
• Before offering all above items, Place an mane/wooden platform, below that draw Ashtadala Padma Rangoli (Lotus with 8 petals) and draw rangoli using Rice flour (Akki hittu) in the form of Nakshatra with six corners. It can be done by drawing a triangle first and then draw a inverted triangle with a small dot/circle at the center above the wooden platform.
  
  
• Place an vessel made up of any materials including clay but not in steel or iron on the wooden platform so that you can place lord ganapathi made up of Panchaloha or Clay or Silver in it.
  
  
• The idol of Lord Ganapathi should be solid, you should not use the hollow one.
  
  
• You should sit in the position such that if Lord is facing East, you should face North or if lord is facing North, you should face East.
  
  
• You should chant Ganapati Ashtottara Shathanamavali, while chanting this mantra offer bermuda grass to Lord.
  
  
• After this you should offer one Pradakshina (circumambulation) , one namaskara (Sashtang Namaskara only for Men) , one Sit-up (Thoppukaranam in Tamil ; Baski Namaskara in Kannada) continuously for 21 times.
  
  
• After all this procedure close vessel in which lord ganapathi is kept and place it pooja room or in kitchen where no one touches it.
  
  
• If possible prepare Modak (Modhaka in Kannada ; Kozhakkattai in Tamil) offer to lord.
  
  
• Repeat this procedure for 21 Tuesdays or 21 Days or 21 Months.

Procedure to visit Suryanar Koil - Sun Temple, Kumbakonam

This procedure was given by Brahmanda Guruji Shri Narendra Babu Sharmaji in his Bruhat Brahmanda programme telecasted in Zee Kannada TV Channel.

SURYANAR KOIL Situated 21 kms from Swamimalai is the Suryanar Koil built by King Kulothunga Chola I in the year 1100 AD. This temple is dedicated to Sun God Surya who is known as the giver of health, success and prosperity. Every year in mid January, the harvest festival is celebrated in thanksgiving and to honour Surya.

Visit this temple for all kind of Heart, Kidney, Eye, Brain and Head problems.

Should carry Wheat (Godhi in Kannada ; Godhumai in Tamil) or any dish made by wheat from your respective homes only. Should not purchase near the temple or anywhere else.

If you want to purchase near the temple you should purchase Navadhanya (are the nine grains that are offered to the Navgrahas) separately.

The Plant liked by Surya or related to Lord Surya Bhagwan is Calotropis gigantea (Arka in Sanskrit ; Bili Yekka in Kannada ; Vellai Erukku in Tamil), hence take Bili Yekka with you.

Divide the Wheat dish into half and offer the first half to temple and offer the other half as dhana to beggars or poor people near the temple premises.

Offer the bili yekka flower to lord vinayakar in the temple.

Along with Navadhanya purchase Navagraha Vastra with 9 Oleander flower garland (Alari Poo in Tamil ; Kanagale Hoovu in Kannada) for each grahas/planets. Offer all this items to Navagrahas located in this temple.

After offering to all Navagrahas visit Suryanar shrine and offer Panchamrita Abhishekam to lord Surya Bhagwan. And offer Shastanga Namaskara in which posture six parts of the body touch the ground and those are knees, toes, hands, temple, nose and chin to lord.
Note: Shastanga Namaskara is meant only for Men.

This procedure should be followed every year for 9 years continuously. You should not miss even one year.

Procedure to fulfill unknown vows to god (Arike/Venduthal)

Brahmanda Guruji Shri Narendra Babu Sharmaji gave us the procedure to fulfill unknown vow to god (Arike in Kannada ; Venduthal in Tamil) in his Bruhat Brahmanda Programme telecasted in Zee Kannada TV Channel.

• You need Winnowing Basket (Muram in Tamil ; Mora in Kannada).
  
  
• Dont take only Navadanya (Navadhanya are the nine grains that are offered to the Navgrahas). Try to take all types of grains whichever is possible.
  
  
• Pack all these grains in small packets made of plastic or paper of quantity 25 to 100 grams depending upon your capability.
  
  
• This procedure should carried out with all members of the family.
  
  
• Dont visit the river, where the last rituals are carried out. Try to find for some new rivers in and around your location. This procedure should be carried out on river side.
  
  
• Along with above items, carry all types of fruits ; Bichchole (Black small bangles with two black beads tied to it) ; Glass Bangles ; Square Jaggery ; Small Mirror ; Small Comb.
  
  
• If you are living in your own house, collect some soil and make a gopura (cone) like structure by mixing it with milk and keep turmeric (Arishina) and Kumkum/Vermilion to it. Assume this as goddess and offer your prayers to it. If you are living in rented house use the soil from your plant pots.
  
  
• This procedure should be done on any wednesday which comes in between one Amavasya one Pournami.
  
  
• Kumkuma Archana should be done by using betel leaf (Vilyadele in Kannada ; Vetrilai in Tamil) only.
  
  
• Along with all these items keep Arishina Kombu ; Coin ; Betel leaves ; Areca nut and one lemon in it and offer your prayers.
  
  
• After all these procedures, keep all the items in basket and everyone should get down in the river and female head of the family should live the basket in the river with full respect and dedication and sprinkle to water to everyone.
  
  
• They call this procedure as offering bhagina in kannada.
  
  
• After this procedure visit the temple near or close to the river and get back to your respective houses.

Kartha Veeryarjuna Mantra for getting back the things we lost

Brahmanda Guruji Shri Narendra Babu Sharmaji gave this mantra to a female who wrote the letter to Guruji regarding her son is missing.
Kartha veeryarjuna was a king of Hehaya dynasty. He is believed to be the incarnation of Vishnu Chakra. It seems Chakra was proud and Lord Vishnu wanted to teach him a lesson. He did this by killing him with his own incarnation , Parasurama.
This stotra is believed to help us recover stolen or snatched items.
This Moola Mantra given by Guruji is common for everyone.
